Oppidan Opulence

This mini collection is inspired by the idea of excessive opulence. Thus, it is inspired the decadence of the rococo era, but also modern socialite culture, both of which embody extreme opulence. I used clothing elements from the Rococo era, such as the stomacher, in order to convey the presence of this influence on the collection. 

While using this centuries old influence, I modernized the collection with some current trends, such as jumpsuits, in order to make it palatable for today. The intended wearers would be young socialite women looking for semi-casual statement pieces.
